Privacy Policy

Last updated: February 16, 2026

MCPWatch (mcpwatch.dev) is operated by Lucid Mobile LLC. This privacy policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use our MCP server observability platform.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you sign up for MCPWatch, we collect your email address and a password. Your password is securely hashed and never stored in plain text.

Project and Organization Data

You create projects and organizations within MCPWatch to manage your MCP server monitoring. We store the names and configuration details you provide for these.

Telemetry Data

When you integrate the MCPWatch SDK into your MCP servers, the SDK sends telemetry data to our platform. This includes:

  • MCP tool call traces (tool names, parameters, durations)
  • Error logs from your MCP servers
  • Performance metrics (latency, throughput, error rates)

You control what telemetry data is sent via the SDK configuration. We only receive data that your servers explicitly transmit to us.

Billing Information

Payment processing is handled by Polar. We do not directly store your credit card number or payment details. See the Third-Party Services section for more details.

Website Analytics

With your consent, we use PostHog to collect anonymous usage data about how you interact with our marketing website (mcpwatch.dev). This may include pages visited, button clicks, and general navigation patterns. This data is used to improve the website experience and is not linked to your MCPWatch account or telemetry data. You can opt out at any time by declining cookies when prompted or by clearing your browser's local storage.

2. How We Use Your Data

  • Account information is used to authenticate you and manage your access to the platform.
  • Telemetry data is used solely to display it back to you in your MCPWatch dashboard. We do not analyze, sell, share, or use your telemetry data for any other purpose, including model training.
  • Billing information is used to process payments and manage your subscription.

3. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored across the following systems:

  • PostgreSQL — account information, projects, and organization data
  • ClickHouse — telemetry data (traces, logs, metrics)
  • Redis — temporary caching for performance

All data is transmitted over encrypted connections (TLS). We implement industry-standard security practices to protect your data at rest and in transit.

4. Data Retention

Telemetry data is retained according to your subscription plan tier, ranging from 7 to 90 days. Once the retention period expires, telemetry data is automatically deleted.

Account information is retained for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all associated data is permanently removed.

5. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

  • Polar — payment processing and subscription management. When you subscribe to a paid plan, your payment information is handled by Polar in accordance with their privacy policy. We receive only the information necessary to manage your subscription status (e.g., plan tier, billing cycle).
  • PostHog — website and product analytics. When you consent to cookies, PostHog collects anonymized usage data (page views, feature interactions) to help us improve the product. No telemetry data is shared with PostHog. See PostHog's privacy policy at posthog.com/privacy.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information or telemetry data with any third parties.

6. Cookies

MCPWatch uses the following types of cookies:

  • Authentication cookies — when you log in to the MCPWatch dashboard, a session cookie is set to keep you authenticated. These are essential and cannot be disabled.
  • Analytics cookies — if you accept cookies via the consent banner on our marketing website, PostHog sets cookies and uses local storage to collect anonymous usage data. These are only activated after you give explicit consent. You can withdraw consent at any time by clearing your browser's local storage for mcpwatch.dev.

We do not use advertising cookies or sell cookie data to third parties.

7. Your Rights and Data Deletion

You have the right to:

  • Access your personal data and telemetry data through your dashboard
  • Delete your account and all associated data at any time from your account settings
  • Export your data by contacting us at the address below

When you delete your account, all of your data — including account information, projects, and telemetry data — is permanently and irreversibly removed from all of our systems.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or through a notice on the platform. Your continued use of MCPWatch after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

9. Contact

If you have questions about this privacy policy or your data, contact us at support@mcpwatch.dev.
